St. Monica prayed for her son’s conversion for more than 15 years. She wept and prayed constantly with faith and hope in God.
What was the result of all those years of prayer? One of the great saints in the history of the Church: her son, St. Augustine!
That’s why Saint Monica is known for her intercession for those who have fallen away from the faith.
It’s also why we recommend that you pray this novena with the intentions that you’ve been praying for the longest — St. Monica is the perfect intercessor for those intentions!
Additionally, Saint Monica is also the patron saint of alcoholics, married women, mothers, wives, and difficult marriages.

Please help me pray for my daughter who is a single mother, 3 teenage sons whose father is incarcerated. Please pray the Holy Spirit descends upon them to make them holy, honest, respectful to authority, responsible. Draw them closer to You.
Also pray for my daughter-in-law who may be suffering with alcohol. Please give her and my son Your grace to deal with this.

Dear St. Monica:
You are the mother of one of my favorite saints, St. Augustine. Please help my family members and myself overcome the sadness and negativity that having a mental, physical, spiritual or financial illness that only love of God and doing His will can overcome and eliminate. With God’s help, we can all overcome the illnesses present in our lives. Thank-you for your affectionate love and unrequited care that you displayed in the guidance of St. Augustine. Please ask God to bless my brother and sister-in-law and my nieces and nephews, and keep them safe and healthy. Please ask Our Lord to help bring peace and solvency to our nation. Thank-you so much for being a great guiding saint in the life of your son, St. Augustine. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever, AMEN.
Please pray for heart baby Lauren who was born on 8/22 and had heart surgery on Friday. Surgery went well, but her recovery is difficult.
Right now, she is going into surgery to have her chest closed. It should take a few hours. Please pray for a successful surgery and recovery.

For my apartment situation that just started-rodents/chipmunks/squirrels,mice/rats-for the solution to get rid of them out of my walls,baseboard etc for George to not throw me under the bus/or my apartment managers- I need them to pay for exterminator to stop this problem- rodents are noisy& waking me up from sleep; causing me anxiety and high blood pressure! Please bring me an immediate fast solution for riddance of these in my walls/apartment forever! I need a financial miracle to move& buy a nice condo of my own in very safe neighborhoods in S/Fl soon before cold winter & all the provision to do this; safe kind neighbors too and a kind loving loyal nonaddicted new boyfriend soon! Same things for my daughter(A)!
Keep peace and no war/bloodshed where my son& his teams are deployed far away(A)! Help them get out of this very soon and lead them to a much better deployment place(G)!

I pray for our oldest son and fiance that they will be happy/successful in their jobs, their health will be good, and their faith to return. For their wedding plans, that all will go well. I pray for our middle son & S, and their new baby coming due in 2024. That they will be happy/successful in their jobs, (that this new job will be a good fit), that their health will be good, and their faith will return. For his test to come back normal. I pray for our daughter, son in-law, and 2 grandsons. That they will be happy/successful in their jobs, their health will be good, and their faith will grow daily. Lord hear my prayer I pray that Carol meets with my mother Wednesday the 6th and 3 p.m. and my mother and her have a good talk and I pray that my mom does not have any plans for that day and that my mom finds the office all right. I also pray that Dr. Santana gives me a pill for my Major Depressive Disorder. I pray that he either gives me zoloft, celexa, auvelity or wellaburtrin or something similar to those pills so long as they don’t make me sleepy, hyper or nervous or dizzy or jittery something in between. I also pray that when Herb calls Humana in October we take extra food card and extra Social Security and they can help us in October.

Please pray for baby Raphael who has been having multiple health issues since birth. He is two years old in need of heart/lung transplant. The doctor says his body cannot accept the transplant and thinks that he should be placed on hospice care. His parents refused to do that. We know God is still on the throne and he’s a miracle God. Please pray for me. I have been having severe back pain that goes to my chest. I went to the Urgent care then followed up with my doctor. All the test were normal except that my ribs have been inflamed. Please pray for the inflammation to go away. Thank you for you prayer.

Thank you Jesus for allowing the physicians to find my cancer in the very early stages.
I pray for continued healing from the mastectomy.
I pray I am able to take the medication to prevent the re-occurrence of cancer in my other breast.
I pray for a financial miracle and a release of my financial debt. I lost my job while getting diagnosed with cancer and awaiting surgical intervention. I cannot afford health insurance under COBRA.
I pray to find another job in my field once I am healed and allowed to return to work.
I pray to find a job that is closer to home, pays well, has a close knit and supportive team with good pay and good benefits.

They found a minor heart defect that should heal on its own, but little Felicity has been on oxygen and has not been able to get off. Continue Prayers for Felicity’s overall health and that her lungs heal and grow stronger so she no longer needs oxygen & can go home. And prayers for Alyssa & Ethan, who are first time parents, the Lord knows their needs and He will provide.
👼 Brian Young and his wife, Mara had twins Wednesday night. A boy and a girl, they don’t have names yet. They were 5 five weeks early and everything was fine at first, but then they realized that neither baby has a formed esophagus. They will be in the NICU for awhile. Continue prayers.
👼 Carri, she’s having a difficult pregnancy and is in her 2nd trimester and went into labor. She’s in the hospital indefinitely trying to keep that baby in there until it’s safe. Continue Prayers for her and her baby as well as her husband and kids who are worried for them.

I got a new job after that and while being diagnosed with breast cancer and awaiting surgery the director decided to let me go. I am wondering if this is the wrong career I chose. I am wondering if I should go back to school and work towards a different career. It is also very difficult to find a job in my current field where I live. I am not in a position to move at this time. The first job was 2 hours from my house and the second job was 1 hour away from my house. Please God help to guide me and make the right decisions.
I pray for a financial miracle and a release of my financial debt.
I have been a single mother for 20 years and just can’t get back on my feet. I have been trying to but I have 2 special needs children which make it difficult. I don’t have support.

Praying too that my daughter-in-law changes her mind on her Pro-Choice stand on abortion and stops swaying others on the internet to see her point of view on this subject.

I ask for prayers for my daughter and her family, who have suffered through a tragic situation involving domenstic violence, and child endangerment. May this novena help begin the healing process for her and her children.
Please pray for our adult daughter Jenna, for her to come back to her Catholic faith and to lead her fiance Patrick to her faith and for him to believe in God someday and be baptized; I just noticed today that we started this novena on 8/18, which is the 32nd anniversary of Jenna’s baptism in the Catholic Church, being a child of God. She is living with this man and will marry him in a civil ceremony on 2/17/24 – please pray that she will find her way back to her Catholic faith and lead her future husband to the same. Pray for our son Sean Carl as well who is agnostic, and for Bob my husband and I that we can be good examples of Christian Catholic parents and lead them back to Jesus, back to the holy Spirit and God our Father in Heaven. My son’s father was the most Christlike person I had ever met. Kind, loving, funny, sweet a humble servant of God.
