We’re excited to announce that the next novena we’re praying is the original novena!
Novenas are an ancient tradition that goes back to the days of the Apostles.
Jesus told His disciples to pray together after His ascension into heaven, so they went to an upper room along with the Blessed Virgin Mary, (Acts 1:14) and joined constantly in prayer for nine days.
These nine days of constant prayer by the Apostles at the direction of Jesus led up to Pentecost. This is when the Holy Spirit descended upon the disciples as “tongues of fire” (Acts 2:1-4). This pattern of 9 days of prayer is the basis of the novenas we pray today.
Thus, the novena is an imitation of the Lord’s command to the Apostles when they prayed for 9 days in anticipation of the coming of the Holy Spirit.So maybe you can guess by now that the next novena we’re praying is The Pentecost Novena!
The Holy Spirit plays a BIG part in our lives.
So, as we pray, ask the Holy Spirit for something concrete and measurable.

I come before you once again to thank you for the grace and mercy that you bestowed upon our families and I ask that you will continue to bless us as we move from day to day.
Lord, in the Holy name of Jesus: I ask that you break the bonds and negative holds on my life and allow me to go back to driving my car. I ask you for the will and determination to get out of bed in the morning and improve my health and help me to lose weight and return my health to good control. Lord, please remove the aches, pain and tiredness and return my health to its healthy state. Lord, I also ask for another teaching position and the ability to do that job with success. I ask for the financial resources to be able to take a short vacation to visit family and friends. I ask that you will remove these toxic people from my circles or at least let me see who they are and show me how to deal with them. Please pray for my brother Juan Cruz Molina his ADC # 061492, has been in prison for 32 years. When he did his crime he on probation and went to the park, was drinking and has a gun. Thought he was going to be attack, by a person took gun out. Then the police was there and turn with gun. Did not kill no one but still was bad. Courts given him 3 counts of aggrieved assault (25 years to life). He went into prison at the age of 24 and is now 57 years old. He has been a good prison for the last 13 years. He is coming up to met the Board of Clemency in June, July, or August he is not schedule yet, here in Phoenix, Arizona. Please prayer for his release to parole or home arrest to us (My husband Angelo and Me) to live in our home and help him to re-entry to society. Also, with job and training/school.
