We don’t usually send out two emails on the same day, but we wanted to let you know about the next novena — it’s one of our favorites (you can scroll down to read why), and we’ll start praying it just a few days after we finish the current Novena to St. Monica.
The next novena is The Novena for Marriage and Family! We start praying on Sunday, August 30th.
St. John Paul II said, “As the family goes, so goes the nation and so goes the whole world in which we live,” so it’s really important that we pray for marriages and families to be strengthened and sanctified.
We will pray for those who are already married, for those who want to be married, for families going through difficult times, and for those in financial distress.
There’s something extra special about this novena… It leads up to the Feast of Mary’s Birthday (the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary)!
The first time we prayed this novena together as a community was eight years ago, leading up to our wedding day! It has been such a gift to pray with you :)
And it is so important that we have strong marriages and strong families. So, we are really looking forward to praying this novena once again, for Marriages and for Families!

My father has got a demand notice for credit card payment. He is a good father and very generous and charitable man. He spend some money over and above what he was receiving and what i could share with him. He is old and facing family issues so would have found solace in spending a little more money on some meagre comforts in life. Throughout his life he has also contributed to the Lords cause from the time he was 19 years. Some people may be even taking out some money by getting him to spend it.
I have not told him about the demand notice. He knows he is in debt. People who owe him gratitude are running away from him.
The Bible says to look after ones father in Old age. I am doing it. The prayer is for some more money to him and me to pay his debt and give him a few decent comforts. My own resources are dwindling.
Lord Jesus, give strength, hope, love and grace to all my family and love ones . Keep watch over them and keep them safe. I pray that Daniel work through his issues and find himself in a better place. Guide him in doing what’s right and give me the endurance and courage to not judge his actions, Bless my brothers and sisters now going through the storm and keep them safe in your loving, caring arms. Give health to mom and thanks for these blessings received. Amen.

Dear Mother Mary, I thank you for the grace granted upon me to embark on this Novena. I humbly beseech you for continuous peace, love, communication and understanding in my home. I pray for spiritual growth in my family. I also ask that my heart desires of the fruit of the womb would be granted. I ask for guidance and protection upon every member of my family, home and abroad.

My intentions for this Novena are for my son and his ex who are now divorced, that they will heal, learn from their time together and someday find love and happiness again. For my younger son who is discerning marriage, that he will not rush into anything, that he will seek out a woman who shares his faith, and that if they have children God willing, they will raise them to know and love the Lord. An for my niece (with 4 children) who is dealing with a cheating husband for now the second time. Please Lord, guide her through this terrible ordeal and help her lean on her faith for strength.
