We’re really looking forward to this next novena — it’s one we haven’t prayed together before! But it’s been one that has been the most requested :)
The next novena is through the intercession of St. Rita of Cascia.
St. Rita, together with St. Jude, is known as the patron saint of impossible causes. She’s also the patron saint of difficult marriages, infertility and parenthood.
We will start the St. Rita Novena on January 31st.
St. Rita was a wife, mother, widow, and then she became a nun in a religious community.
Her life was full of difficult trials. Her husband was harsh and cruel. Her two sons passed away before she did. And she was not initially accepted into her religious community.
However, St. Rita was known for her strong faith and perseverance in prayer. She often meditated on Christ’s passion, and later in her life, she developed wounds on her forehead, which many associated with the wounds from Christ’s crown of thorns.
We will pray this novena to ask for St. Rita’s intercession in our difficult trials and impossible causes.

Grant me the wisdom to appeal and facilitate learning and insight to others around the world, so that the world may use the information to grow their own careers, be successful in their jobs and fully grasp learning in courses, schools and other areas. Give me wisdom and courage to work on this investment and generate an income to pay off all debt (student loan -in the next three (3) years- solar contract (by the end of Summer 2020), HELOC paid in full in the next 2 years, pay down mortgage and eventually paying off the mortgage in the next five (5) years). Help me to save so that I can have financial flexibility to help my mother and father on their limited income and put away money for my own financial flexibility and retirement. Guide me to find affordable healthcare and good, caring and involved healthcare practitioners to ensure I am practicing good healthy habits for my body, mind and soul – including Dental, Vision and Mental health.
Remove, St. Rita all the angels and Saints, anyone and anything that is a waste of my time, energy and does not enrich me. You have seen and know how people have reached out, pretended to be interested in my knowledge, skills and experience “weed them out” so they never get to contact me. Push the interested and serious minded, sincere and honest to reach out so I may completely offer and secure the information and opportunity they seek.
Please, Lord, help me to find socially agreeable, respectful and selfless organizations and people to work with, socialize and develop me for long-lasting and sincere friendships. Bring into my life a sincere, empathetic, kind, strong, honest, financially sound and independent, nice and caring friend. A gentleman who is sophisticated, ambitious, intelligent, owns his own endeavors, spiritually sound and aware, open-minded, confident, and loving and caring person. A companion who is open and honest, and willing to do the work in making a loving and wholesome relationship work.
Dear Lord help all who ask for help. I pray for the soul of this country and its leaders, so that they will do the right thing. Wipe out hate and apathy. Restore peace, respect and tolerance to all. Help me pray for focus, anoited thoughts and clarity to successful ly undergo this last component of my Masters program- my dissertation. I am meeting up with my challenges in starting my field research and currently grossly delayed. I do not think I may receive another extension as I have gotten two before. My submission date is April 13.
That God’s will alone will prevail in my life and career, that I may use my skills to honour and glorify him everday, I continue to pray, Amen.
Lord hear my prayer I pray that the interview goes good and that they don’t have an emergency and that I get asked back for a second interview this time.
