We’re really looking forward to this next novena — it’s one we haven’t prayed together before! But it’s been one that has been the most requested :)
The next novena is through the intercession of St. Rita of Cascia.
St. Rita, together with St. Jude, is known as the patron saint of impossible causes. She’s also the patron saint of difficult marriages, infertility and parenthood.
We will start the St. Rita Novena on January 31st.
St. Rita was a wife, mother, widow, and then she became a nun in a religious community.
Her life was full of difficult trials. Her husband was harsh and cruel. Her two sons passed away before she did. And she was not initially accepted into her religious community.
However, St. Rita was known for her strong faith and perseverance in prayer. She often meditated on Christ’s passion, and later in her life, she developed wounds on her forehead, which many associated with the wounds from Christ’s crown of thorns.
We will pray this novena to ask for St. Rita’s intercession in our difficult trials and impossible causes.

I pray for my younger daughter to have a safe and exciting trip and to come back home safe and sound. I lost my job around 6 months ago. Since then, everything has been crumbling. I have never felt this lost in my life. I have never felt so hopeless. Every day is just another day, no motivation, no energy. I hate everything I used to love. I am withdrawn, trying to understand the happenings around me. With bills accumulating and no clue, everything is falling apart.
I have attended several promising interviews but nothing is coming right. I am actually demotivated by the job application process.
My life is crumbling, my wife is not happy with me, I am not happy with myself. She lacks a thing to respect me for. All the past is forgotten. I am walking on a lonely path. I pray for the peace of mind that comes from God. I have not been able to sleep well. My head keeps hurting with the thoughts cycling my mind. I just need rest. Something to make my mind calm.

My husband Julius has been out of job for a whole year. We are praying that he gets a breakthrough and get a job. He has put a lot of job applications. Please help us in this prayer. He is in desperate need.
For my husband. For Healing for his auto immune disease that is attacking his back and causing pain in his left leg. Our son’s wedding is Feb. 22. It is a 7 hour drive from our home town. My husband works from our home. He has not been anywhere since Christmas other than to a dr. He has received communion 2x since I brought it to him, but also has not been to church since Christmas. I am praying to St. Rita, St. Jude, Blessed Seeleos, … all saints and angels!
