The Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is celebrated 19 days after Pentecost, so we start praying this novena on Wednesday, June 10th — that’s one week away!
For this novena, we will reflect on Jesus’ love for each and every one of us. We will pray for our hearts to be conformed to His Sacred Heart, for us to be more merciful, more loving, and more Christ-like.

My prayer intention is for a friend, Lauren. She went in on Wednesday to be induced at Week 38 and they found that baby no longer had a heartbeat. They are devastated and my heart is broken for her and her husband Ryland. I am praying for strength and healing for their family as they go through this unthinkable heartache.
Sacred Heart of Jesus. I knock,I seek, and I ask in prayer to please hear me. As I ask for healing for my daughter Tara she has a learning disability and is graduating high school in a few days she would like to continue her education we just don’t know where to go and what to do. I have 3 prayer intentions for my oldest 2 kids and son-in-law, all struggling with the inflated housing crisis. I pray for Matthew who just graduated from a Catholic trade school that he and his friends can find affordable housing to rent near their jobs (they’ve inquired or looked at 20 places so far and they get rented immediately). I pray for Sydney and her husband Chris to find jobs as they relocate from Milwaukee closer to family (and housing for them too once they figure out where they will live). They have until June 25th to be out of their rental because the owner sold it. And finally, I pray for my son-in-law Chris to heal completely from a serious health condition that is also affecting his mental health. They are in their first year of marriage and it has been so hard, but we know that it is all making them strong and God will make good out of the ashes!

I am lost on what my intentions are with this novena or what my intentions should be. I will say I seek peace, serenity and hope in my current situation. I have a husband that suffers from alcoholism, I wonder am I to pray and hope for healing for him and myself along with our marriage? I love my partner, even through the difficult times. I also will add that through this relationship and his alcoholism I have done my share of horrible things as a repayment for the way he has treated me. I also live with regret for my past behavior. I want to change all sorts of things about me. I want to change my behavior, learn to have patience and forgiveness, learn to love myself as I deserve. At times I want to remain with this man I love so much, his name is Anthony W. Then at times I just want a way out. When I find a way out, I never take it. I seek God’s guidance, to know his will for me, for this relationship. I seek God’s peace, serenity, love for Anthony and I, his healing and guidance for us both. As I write I seem to find my intentions are to find clarity, answers, guidance for my marriage. Do I hold onto hope for God’s blessing and healing or is God’s blessing and healing in dissolving my marriage and moving on.
