The next novena we’re going to pray as a community is one of our favorites, it’s the St. Therese of Lisieux Novena!
Pope Pius X called St. Therese “the greatest saint of modern times.” She’s well known for her “little way” spirituality of doing small, ordinary things that you do every day with extraordinary love. She wrote in her autobiography, “What matters in life is not great deeds, but great love.”
We will start praying this novena next Tuesday, September 22nd.
St. Therese suffered a great deal in her life. She lost her mom when she was a young girl. One of her older sisters became like a second mother to her, and St. Therese “lost” her when her sister entered a convent. St. Therese also suffered from chronic illness and depression. Through it all, she continued to look towards Jesus.
She’s a great example for all of us — a reminder to cling to Jesus through whatever each of us may be going through right now. Let’s look to Jesus!

I am praying for a reawakening of my 3 children & their spouses faith. During her lifetime St. Terese of Lisieux wanted to save lost souls for Jesus and I believe she is continuing her life’s passion from the kingdom of heaven!
I give GOD praise and thanks for answering my prayer for healing. I pray this novena for my continued personal healing; physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. For healing of my anxiety/stress about my health as well as the effects of GERD, sinus issues and insomnia. That GOD will remove my fear and anxiety and replace it with faith and trust in HIM.

Last week my gardener accidentally cut my rose bush at the root. While it might seem trivial in the scheme of things, I have had this rose bush for decades. It is my first. We were able to replant what’s left. As patron of roses, may St. Therese intervene and that my rose bush will survive.
For strength for my husband while he’s doing his degree at home and for me with busy family educating, and daily routine. For wisdom to know which parish to attend with covid craziness. I’ve just gone through a terrible breakup. I now know my former fiancé has many narcissistic traits. He has gone from apologizing for hurting me to discarding me twice within two weeks and now is giving me a tonal silent treatment. It is a blessing that I’ve been saved from this relationship. But I’m still trauma bonded to him and my stepson. It hurts that he is being so cruel. He must have his new supply of women, that’s something narcissists do , and it hurts very much. I’m praying that he’ll be nice to me again. I’m praying that he’ll realize he shouldn’t have let me go. I’m praying that he’ll tell me that. But I guess i I can only pray for myself, for healing, and for a truly good man to come to me one day. I am suffering and needing help for healing.

Before I even started this novena, I asked St. Therese a couple of things and I asked her for a sign. I asked for a roses if she hears my prayers. I wasn’t sure what color to ask so I asked for white rose instead. That day, when we went to the church, I saw roses of different colors on the altar with predominantly white roses. I knew at that moment she hears me and is working on my prayer. I am patiently waiting yet eternally grateful inside. Thank you St. Therese. Please heal and guide my heart in this time of waiting. I love you St. Therese. Please continue to work on my prayers.

Dear St There’s pray for me. I feel very depressed and suffer from empty nest syndrome now that my 2 adult kids are gone with their own lives! I’m very co dependent on them and also their dad and it leaves me feeling very sad,empty,alone and lony and depressed because my kids are in different states and we always lived here in this state so it’s hard on me without them!So pray for me to find a living loyal Catholic companion to start a new life with,I don’t think my kid’s dad will ever really change;start going to church with me,be more kinder to his son and me! Please pray the bloodwork I did today returns with normal results too no medication prescribed. Please pray for husband too who is scheduled for bloodwork Tuesday that he has a good report returned too. I am praying for St. Therese’s intercession to be joined in the sacrament of holy matrimony with Antony, that I met to visit him and overcome the long distance between us; for a financial breakthrough to enable me pay all the debts I have, to sail through the interview for a director’s role I am interviewing for, on Monday and Tuesday and lastly, a bouquet of red roses. 11 red roses
