We don’t usually send out two emails on the same day, but we wanted to let you know about the next novena — it’s one of our favorites (you can scroll down to read why), and we’ll start praying it just a few days after we finish the current Novena to St. Monica.
The next novena is The Novena for Marriage and Family! We start praying on Sunday, August 30th.
St. John Paul II said, “As the family goes, so goes the nation and so goes the whole world in which we live,” so it’s really important that we pray for marriages and families to be strengthened and sanctified.
We will pray for those who are already married, for those who want to be married, for families going through difficult times, and for those in financial distress.
There’s something extra special about this novena… It leads up to the Feast of Mary’s Birthday (the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary)!
The first time we prayed this novena together as a community was eight years ago, leading up to our wedding day! It has been such a gift to pray with you :)
And it is so important that we have strong marriages and strong families. So, we are really looking forward to praying this novena once again, for Marriages and for Families!

For My Son, Luke, who is meeting with the surgeon this morning, that he will get out of pain and have a miracle. If they must do surgery it will be done soon and he will have a complete recovery and be pain free.
Thanking God for our lives,journey mercies favours good health and safety in our family. Dear mother Mary, I come before you to ask Jesus your son to intercede for us in our various needs and intentions and I firmly believe that whatever I ask through you will be done because when you spoke to your son during the wedding feast, Jesus turned water into wine and people were happy. Dearest mother Mary I therefore present these petitions before you:
For good catholic spouses for my children especially those who are already at the age of getting married; my son, daughter and ward that God will connect them to their spouses soon,
For my son and his documents that he will put them in without mistakes and that it will receive adequate attention;
For the religious that God will continue to protect and strengthen them as they labour in the Lord’s vineyard Amen;
For the poor and sick among us that God will continue to protect and provide for them;
For our tenants to pay their rents as at when due and our vacant houses to be occupied by good tenants;

My marriage has been brutally wounded by an EMA in the past. Please, pray that we will be healed from this break in trust. We need assistance to continue to practice His love, in both small and large difficulties. For the grace of marriage. I’m mother of two. I’m in an entangled relationship, just another one after several failed ones. I was very hopeful of marriage to this man before hell broke lose. He had even gone down on his knees to propose. Something tells me there’s some evil playing part in the confusion we are in now. He says he doesn’t want to leave me but then again the circumstances surrounding him are alittle too confusing. I so direly need God’s intervention in this. Never been so desperate to settle down like I am now. I’m working and for the last 3years since I broke up with baby daddy I’ve comfortably brought up my kids without extra support. Calm the need in me that makes unwise choices. Restore my faith in love and divine timing. Bring true love to me, in the right time, with the right person, for the right reasons.

I have been married for 5 years now and blessed with 2 beautiful children, the first part of our courtship before we got married was the best we had with lots of trust for each other, however, this slowly got diminishing something I blame on myself coz I have had myself flatting with other female friends and sometimes got to sleep with them a behaviour that my wife got to notice. This has greatly affected her feelings for me much as she has still stayed back with us, I want all of you reading this to pray for me to our God that I desist from this behaviour and this novena of family will bring me closer and stronger to my family than ever before. I pray for Mercy 🙏 that in whatever I have done may the Almighty God have mercy upon me and forgive me all my sins and all the times I have cheated on my wife. Lord have Mercy.
I pray all this believing in the name of the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen

I continue to pray that God does the impossible – to stop the impending divorce and plant a seed of hope in my husband that brings him home. That when my husband comes home, we find the right counselor or marriage intensive that helps us grow and restore our marriage better than it ever was – which wasn’t bad to begin. I continue to pray and hope and trust it is God’s will for our reconciliation because many plans in a mans heart, but it is God’s will that will prevail. Thank you and AMEN!!! ❤️
