The next novena we’re going to pray as a community is one of our favorites, it’s the St. Therese of Lisieux Novena! You can share your prayer intentions with us all below in the comments.
Pope Pius X called St. Therese “the greatest saint of modern times.” She’s well known for her “little way” spirituality of doing small, ordinary things with extraordinary love. She wrote in her autobiography, “What matters in life is not great deeds, but great love.”
We will start praying this novena on Thursday, September 22nd.
St. Therese suffered a great deal in her life. She lost her mom when she was a young girl. One of her older sisters became like a second mother to her, and St. Therese missed her when her sister entered a convent. St. Therese also suffered from chronic illness and depression. Through it all, she continued to look towards Jesus.
She’s a great example for all of us — a reminder to cling to Jesus through whatever each of us may be going through right now. Let’s look to Jesus!

Grandson, James, is a big challenge with ADHD and needs speech therapy. it has been a struggle to even get him help since his parents homeschool and can’t afford the prices.

Thanksgiving that my husband’s Stent surgery went well. Pray for a successful valve surgery in one month. And that God give me the patience to deal with him during all of this. For my daughter and her husband. They have been happily married for 7 years and have a beautiful (both inside and out) 4 yr daughter. They had a wonderful, beautiful marriage. Everyone would comment on what a good marriage they had. BUT, for some reason, my son-in-law is having an affair with a married woman who has a 3yr with special needs. He insists he is just a friend. He had become a completely different person – not the kind, caring person he was. My daughter told him he had to leave and le went back to Michigan to his family. His mother is not helping the situation, in fact seems to be encouraging divorce. He says he may stay there. Please, St Therese, intercede for me, that this marriage can be saved. That he will turn around and become the beautiful person he was before. I truly believe they belong together. Jesus, I trust in you. Help me to trust you more.

I have been at odds with my son and his wife for the last three months. With that being said they have not let my wife and I se the grandchildren. My prayer intention for this Novena is for my son who was molested by a former priest when he was 9. He never told us and I just found out about it 2 years ago after 45 years of secrecy and so much pain and difficulty’s in his life. He left the Church many years ago and is bitter, of course, that even after contacting and reporting this horrific molestation, the Diocese has never reached out to him other than to offer some counseling. No apologies, no financial compensation, no contact by anyone in the Diocesan Office. He needs help in the form of spiritual, mental healing. He does not trust God/Church. Please, Jesus, heal my son and help him come to know, love and serve the Lord and to come back to the Roman Catholic Church. Amen. Thank you.

I’m in a nursing home & have been fighting a pernicious case of scabies. I’ve been coated 3 times with poison & I’ve taken Ivermectin 3 times & will take it again this afternoon.
