Dear Saint Monica I chose you as my saint at my confirmation because of your faith in God that through prayer your son would return to the church. As a child I wanted nothing more than for my father to become Catholic. He was always religious, he prayed and often went to church with us. He always encouraged my sister and I to pray and trust in God‘s love for us. He never joined the Catholic Church but he was a very good faithful God-fearing man.
I’m asking you to help me now, there is so much unrest in my family, I am excluded from all family activities. My sister and I growing up were so very very close we did everything together. About five or six years ago, I started being left out of family outings. My sister wants nothing to do with me she takes joy in hurting my feelings, she Speaks harshly to me and laughs when she sees she has hurt me. Her and her children are the only family I have, our parents have passed, I am divorced and was unable to have children of my own. We were always so close and did everything together. I have no idea what changed or why she treats me this way. I have wonderful friends who love and care about me and I know I can count on them. But I need my family too. My friends, her friends and even her children have told me they think it is so awful the way she treats me. So I know this isn’t something I’m creating in my mind. But she is not someone you can talk to or discuss anything with. All she knows how to do is yell and scream, I have tried a couple of times to Ask her what changed but like I said all she does is yell. I don’t care if she wants to do things with just her children, but she feels the need to make sure I know they’re getting together and I’m not included.
She also yells and screams at her learning disabled daughter Samantha who lives with her. So many times my dear niece (Who is 33 years old now ) will show up somewhere in tears because my sister yelled at her so. And then she tells people about it as if it’s something she’s proud of, she will say “Samantha drives me nuts I yelled at her and made her cry.”
I do you pray for my sister that she can lose this anger, but in the meantime my heart is breaking. I’m at a point now where I don’t really care if she doesn’t want anything to do with me anymore, I would just like to know why. I will be 70 years old this February, so please dear saint Monica help me, help my sister with her anger and bring me peace in my Golden years.

St. Monica, please intercede my prayer. I pray to learn to focus when studying & not let my mind wander aimlessly. I want to train myself like with Harvey Team where I “did my job” first and stress about the ordeal much much later. I have had this stuff before, and I know I can succeed. I need my mind sharp & my memory even sharper. I use to be able to just pick up on anything I read and retain it. I wonder if I can do that now… I want to know all the material & I want to pass this exam.

I am praying for my son Anthony Peter. He is very special to me. He has Cancer in his Liver & Pelvic area. For a long time he’s been
given Chemo treatment, every other week. I do pray that one day soon Anthony Peter will be given a clean bill of health. That he can be clean of all & any Cancer. Amen. Thank you St Monica,

St Monica, I request prayers for my oldest daughter that she gets help very soon before something terrible happens to someone near and dear. She has struggled for many years -23+ years and has had many tragedies the last few years especially. May you pray fervently like you did for your son, St Augustine that she may come back with open arms and heart to Jesus and the Catholic Faith. We are having a retreat in October and it would be great for her to attend. Please ask Mother Mary to assist also with this. Thank you for your persistence in prayer St Monica.
