The Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is celebrated 19 days after Pentecost, so we start praying this novena on Wednesday, June 19th — that’s one week away!
For this novena, we will reflect on Jesus’ love for all of us. We will pray for our hearts to be conformed to His Sacred Heart.

Oh GOD, you are mightier than any power, visible or invisible. Your Presence is the shield of your people. We call upon you to look down again and see the rage of our foes who are bent on destroying us your children. They will stop at nothing until they see the total ruin of us, your children.
Almighty GOD, you said you will never leave us as orphans nor will you allow our enemies to triumph over us. Arise, once again, LORD to our help and the help of all our families all over the world and protect your children from the evil arrows of afflictions and untimely death. Come LORD like a mighty flood, swallow our enemies and all those who plan our downfall and plan evil against us, in their arrogance and destroy every weapon that they rely upon to fight us your children in the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. 2. GOD’s CONTINUOUS MERCY & ABIDING GRACE, THAT NO ONE SUCCEEDS AT STOPPING US FROM ACHIEVING OUR DIVINE PURPOSES IN LIFE – (Acts 6:8-11)
“Stephen, a man richly blessed by God and full of power, performed great miracles and wonders among the people. But he was opposed by some men who were members of the synagogue of the Freedmen … They and other Jews …started arguing with Stephen. But the Spirit gave Stephen such wisdom that when he spoke, they could not refute him. So they bribed some men….
Holy FATHER, the wickedness of humanity has not ceased. People have become worse by the day. Those who claim they know you are in connivance with evil men and women to stop us from achieving your purpose for our lives. Their envy and bitterness towards your blessings and glory in our lives are no longer hidden. They boast not only in their secret but openly, how they will make sure we do not succeed. They boast of what they have done before and their willingness to do worse things. Holy Father they lie! They lie because they are powerless before you.
The innocent blood they have shed, will rise against them; the cry of the innocent people they have denied their joy will not go in vain. They hire and pay others indiscriminately to achieve their wickedness. Expose them LORD and let them be disgraced and disappointed in their evil plots, In the mighty name of Jesus. Ha, LORD, let them know they are human and no god. Let them be caught up in their evil deeds. Do not allow them ever to succeed in stopping us nor our family members from reaching our goals in the name of Jesus.
Holy Spirit, fill us more and more with the wisdom and power to succeed in our lives’ endeavors to the glory of God through Jesus Christ our LORD, Amen.
3. GOD’s GRACE FOR THE MOUNTAINS IN OUR LIVES TO BE LEVELED AND THE VALLEYS FILLED – (Zechariah 4:6-7)
“The angel told me to give Zerubbabel this message from the LORD: “You will succeed, not by military might or by your own strength, but by my spirit. Obstacles as great as mountains will disappear before you. You will rebuild the Temple, and as you put the last stone in place, the people will shout, ‘Beautiful, beautiful!’ ””
That is why you are called the Mighty GOD. You do what you say. You watch over your Word. You stand by your decree. You cherish your Name and you uphold it. You just cannot fail. We praise your excellent Name. We magnify your glorious Throne. We recognize your power at work in our lives, families and situations and we say LORD, YOU ARE GOD OF ALL AGES. You are GOD over all situations. You are GOD in our battles.
You are GOD in all of our lives projects. You are GOD who does not change yet capable of changing our lives, our conditions and our concerns. You are GOD in the Heavens and on the Earth and over all powers, all principalities and sovereignties. You are GOD over kings and governors, the high and the mighty. You are GOD over captains of industries. You alone and no other. We bow down to worship you. We receive your Word oh GOD, that We, (call your names and the names of those you are lifting up in prayer) will succeed.
Yes LORD, obstacles as great as mountains will disappear before us in the mighty name of Jesus. The problems that have been eating up our lives- the afflictions, addiction, yoke, burdens, obstacles, generational curses, setbacks, etc; will go in the mighty name of Jesus. The delays in the manifestation of our testimony are over by God’s grace. Our earnest expectations will be fulfilled in the mighty name of Jesus. We speak and pray against every goliath that has been terrorizing our lives, our families, our children, our grandchildren, our siblings, our friends, our neighborhood, our jobs, our careers, our education, our health, our finances, our marriage, our fruitfulness, our happiness etc. They have defiled us and the name of GOD in our lives. They have been fighting us with their evil weapons for years. This very day, God is putting them in our power, they are defeated and scattered in disgrace, the mighty hands of God has won for us resounding victory.
FATHER, We thank you as you bring an end to the dominion of darkness represented by goliath in our lives and families . This very day, this very hour, this very moment, we come against every power working against us by the Blood of Jesus Christ. We destroy all you evil representations, in the various ways you are showing yourselves and operating in our lives, in our families and in our homes, by the power of the HOLY SPIRT. You shall no longer terrorize our lives and our families anymore. We cut off your heads in the mighty name of Jesus. Let the fire of GOD consume you in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
5. GOD’s HEALING, RESTORATION & FREEDOM FOR ALL THAT ARE SICK, SUFFERING, ADDICTED AND AFFLICTED- (Matthew 8:1-3)
“When Jesus came down from the hill, large crowds followed him. Then a man suffering from a dreaded skin disease came to him, knelt down before him, and said, “Sir, if you want to, you can make me clean.” Jesus stretched out his hand and touched him. “I do want to,” He answered. “Be clean!” At once the man was healed of his disease.”
PRECIOUS JESUS, it is in your nature to show mercy, to deliver and to heal. As we humble ourselves before you today at prayer, we recognize that everything is in your power. What you choose to do, no one can stop you. MIGHTY JESUS, look with mercy and compassion upon the suffering in our homes, in our families, in our lands and in our nation Nigeria, heal and save us. The nations of the world have suffered greatly from this corona 19 pandemic. Lives have been swallowed up; fear killing many; hunger ravaging homes. We are in great pain, LORD. Have mercy upon us, LORD, and forgive us our sins and save us.
We know we deserve every punishment you give to us. But, LORD, will you be angry with us forever and abandon us, even at the price of the Precious Blood of your Son? We know that if you will it, this yoke shall be lifted, those suffering shall be made whole and your people shall rejoice in you again. Cleanse us and our land, Oh LORD, that we may be healed again. May the prayers of your Blessed Mother see us through and bring us to the day of rejoicing and thanksgiving.
