I love getting your novenas, but I’ve noticed that you often add prayers for patience. Could you give a heads’ up first when you do that? God gives us patience by enduring hardship, so I don’t pray for it.

Thank you so much for your Easter card. I truly felt Christ’s presence a couple of weeks ago I found out that I am going to have surgery on my jaw – I have a tumor. I will lose most of my bottom teeth and most of my jaw – I have health problems already so I have learned to deal with things through Christ. I was really nervous about this surgery and I asked God to help me and all of a sudden a peace came over me and I felt myself being hugged. I thanked the dear Lord and I have not been too afraid since. I will have to eat pureed food for about a year so I am lifting up whatever inconvenience this will cause up to God. I thank God that I have a good surgeon and food to eat where in some many places in the world there is no food – one good website to go to help out starving kids is Marysmeals-usa.org – this organization was started by a wonderful Scottsman that I saw on EWTN.
