One Novena Down, Many to Go

Our very first novena is over and it went very well! I’m excited at the huge response. Almost 1300 people committed to praying the Christmas novena to end abortion!

That’s pretty huge…

You should be proud that you got in on that novena. We are going to pray more novenas, so stay tuned! If you’d like to pray with us, join up in the box on the right hand side of this page.

As always, let me know what your favorite novena is in the comments.

More Novenas!

There are more novenas being prayed than I expected! Thank you so much to everyone who has helped to spread the word! Keep it up!

Novena Update: Can We Get 2000?

1000 novena to end abortionWe have passed the 1000 novena goal! (at least in terms of people who have accepted on the facebook event.)  1016 people have confirmed on facebook and several hundred people are getting the email reminders.

I would really encourage you to sign up for the email novena reminders. It’s a great way to remember and to pray together with the group.

It would not surprise me if we reached 2000 novenas by Christmas! The rate of growth is huge! It’s gotten so big that facebook stopped allowing me to send messages to the entire group!

So, needless to say I’m excited about this. Thank you all so much for being a part of this!

Signed up for emails but didn’t get them?

1000 Novena Challenge – Christmas Edition

I have decided to increase the goal of the number of Christmas Novenas that we are going to pray to end abortion. It was 500 novenas. I doubled it to a whopping 1000 people praying this novena.

Too bold?

Well, there are only a few days left before the novena starts on the 16th of December. When I made the call earlier today we had not even reached our first goal, but now we have 564 people committed on facebook, 153 maybes and 3460 who have yet to reply. The novena reminder email list is up to 216. I suspect most of those to be from facebook.

We have 3 days left before the first day of the novena. Can we make it to 1000 ‘pray-ers’? I think so. I think that if God wants us to make it, we will. The explosion of participation in this is a sign to me that God will multiply our efforts and at least 1000 novenas will be prayed.

“Pray like everything depends on God. Work like everything depends on you.” I forget which saint said that, but it is exactly what will be happening for the next few days.

Will you help me spread the word?

Pray More Novenas!

Christmas NovenaI have a really hard time remembering to pray all 9 days of novenas.  It has gotten so bad that when I was recently asked to pray a novena for the Immaculate Conception and I didn’t want to because I knew that I would forget! Hardly a good excuse…

It turns out that I’m not the only one with this problem. I asked around on facebook and with my Catholic friends and many of them have the same problem. So, I’ve created this service to deliver novena prayers via email to help myself and everyone else to pray more novenas.

Here’s how it works:

1.  Sign up in the sidebar or by clicking here.

2.  Pray the novena prayers with the Universal Church as they land in your email inbox on the right day!

3.  Tell me your favorite Saint or novena and it may just be the next novena coming to you by email.

We will start with the Christmas Novena on December 16th! Will you join me in praying and preparing for the coming of Christ?

Subscribe to the Novena here.

Right now I only have the Christmas Novena set up, but I plan to have novenas for all the major liturgical celebrations. AND I want to have your favorite novenas available so you can get reminders for those too!

What are your favorite novenas?
