It’s the Holy Spirit Novena for Pentecost!
Novenas are an ancient tradition that goes back to the days of the Apostles.
Jesus told His disciples to pray together after His ascension into heaven, so they went to an upper room along with the Blessed Virgin Mary, (Acts 1:14) and joined constantly in prayer for nine days.
These nine days of constant prayer by the Apostles at the direction of Jesus led up to Pentecost. This is when the Holy Spirit descended upon the disciples as “tongues of fire” (Acts 2:1-4). This pattern of 9 days of prayer, leading up to a feast day or final day, is the basis of the novenas we pray today!
Thus, the novena is an imitation of the Lord’s command to the Apostles when they prayed for 9 days in anticipation of the coming of the Holy Spirit.
And that’s why we pray all of our novenas for nine days, followed by one final prayer on the 10th day (which is usually the feast day).
he Holy Spirit plays a BIG part in our lives.
So, as we pray, ask the Holy Spirit for something concrete and measurable.

Please God I humbly and desperately pray for my brother Gary and Jenny. They are going to their specialist to see if their health problems are cancer related. Please God help them get good reports and no cancer. Please God we need them here and they need you desperately to be with them. They are both strong in faith.
I pray for my son, he seems to be down right now please talk to him and let him know you are there. In Jesus Christ I pray whom I love and need, and worship. Amen
Praying desperately my son quits drinking. He is drinking through the week now. Please I pray he gets his drinking under control. Please God let it be your will that my daughter and niece gets a call in the morning they was selected for positions at our local head start school.
In Jesus name I desperately pray. Amen
I pray for my daughter to get hired at our local head start school. She is praying hard too. Please God answer her prayers.
I pray my niece pays me the money she owes me tomorrow.

Dear Jesus/Mary/All Saints: I humbly pray for my marriage that it will grow in faith and love. Please bless us that we are happy/successful in our jobs, that our health will be good, and that are faith will deepen. Please bless our oldest son and S that they too will be happy/successful in their jobs, that their health will be good, and their faith will grow. Thank you for blessing them w/each other and home. Please bless our middle son that he will be happy/successful in his job, that he will reconsider counseling and thank you for blessing him with S. May she be his soul mate. That their faith will grow, and health will be good. Please bless our daughter, son in-law that they will be happy/successful in their jobs, that their faith and love will be good. Thank you for blessing us w/grandchildren, please protect them, and that daughter will have a good pregnancy, delivery and this grandbaby will be healthy. I pray for family/friends and we thank you for all that you have blessed us with. I pray for everyone in this world, and please protect us fro, all evil. Amen.

Just wanted to thank God for all I have been receiving, God is good and he has helped me so much. I love these Novenas, I always new God hears me. No matter what life brings to me bad or good God has always helped me in everything. I am so grateful for these prayers. Thank you all for let me a part of these prayers.
I am praying for a change in my parents life. I’m praying that they become more active, positive and supportive parents. May God clear negligence, laziness and any curse in their lives. I’m praying that they get their own home, that they elevate in business and start doing better financially.
