We’re excited to announce that the next novena we’re praying is the original novena!
Novenas are an ancient tradition that goes back to the days of the Apostles.
Jesus told His disciples to pray together after His ascension into heaven, so they went to an upper room along with the Blessed Virgin Mary, (Acts 1:14) and joined constantly in prayer for nine days.
These nine days of constant prayer by the Apostles at the direction of Jesus led up to Pentecost. This is when the Holy Spirit descended upon the disciples as “tongues of fire” (Acts 2:1-4). This pattern of 9 days of prayer is the basis of the novenas we pray today!
Thus, the novena is an imitation of the Lord’s command to the Apostles when they prayed for 9 days in anticipation of the coming of the Holy Spirit.
And that’s why we pray all of our novenas for nine days, followed by one final prayer on the 10th day (which is usually the feast day).
So maybe you can guess by now that the next novena we’re praying is The Novena to the Holy Spirit for Pentecost!

I have been single for 20 years. After many, many prayers, I finally met a man in February for whom I feel deeply in love. Unfortunately, we did not survive the Pandemic. I pray this Novena for peace in my heart and for God’s strength to heal my deep sense of rejection. I also pray for anyone who is experiencing heartbreak, rejection, and grief that God grants them peace.

Today I pray for my two sons again. They lost their jobs. This is all because of this corona virus, which is made to destroy people. Lots of people are suffering and losing their jobs. Don,t let Your people fall in despair. Help my sons find a new job again so they can provide for themselves. Let us all have enough so we can live a decent life. We have had severe financial problems with many years, I keep trying and it gets better for short time and then we encounter one financial set back after another.
I pray I am able to find a way to pay tuition, books, and lab fees. I had borrowed $13k for my education and my ex-husband stole all of it.
I pray for healing for my son from sleep apnea, anxiety, severe depression, autism, feelings of worthless, and suicidal ideations.
I pray for healing of my daughter from kidney problems, migraines, autism, anxiety and depression.
I pray I am able to sell my home for the maximum amount .

Me, myself, and I and my family please need healing prayers immediately for my nephew, David Jasso, who lives in Florida, is married, has 3 children, and owner of an Ace Hardware store, has just been diagnosed as having lung cancer. We also need prayers for my sister, Aurora Errisuriz, and Mary Jasso, my sister-in-law both diagnosed with alzheimer’s disease.
