The next novena we’re going to pray as a community is one of our favorites, it’s the St. Therese of Lisieux Novena!
Pope Pius X called St. Therese “the greatest saint of modern times.” She’s well known for her “little way” spirituality of doing small, ordinary things with extraordinary love. She wrote in her autobiography, “What matters in life is not great deeds, but great love.”
We will start praying this novena on Wednesday, September 22nd. You can share your prayer intentions with us all below in the comments!
St. Therese suffered a great deal in her life. She lost her mom when she was a young girl. One of her older sisters became like a second mother to her, and St. Therese missed her when her sister entered a convent. St. Therese also suffered from chronic illness and depression. Through it all, she continued to look towards Jesus.
She’s a great example for all of us — a reminder to cling to Jesus through whatever each of us may be going through right now. Let’s look to Jesus!

Praying for peace for my children- that they will find their people and their purpose
St. Therese, please pray that my EGD scope next Monday, will bring us good news. I pray that you help me have strength, confidence & hope to get through this week and in my procedure. I pray that my procedure is successful with no complications. I pray that you help protect me and my family from cancers, diseases, and viruses. Help me to have the heart that you had here on earth. I’m praying for my husband’s health-physical and mental. There have been several, unexpected, radical changes in his employment. He has had a long-term chronic illness which is worsening. His work situation is impacting his health. I pray his pain decreases and his mobility and endurance improves.

For my friend and her father. Her Father is homeless and wandering the streets. He is not mentally well and he is shunning his daughter. She is devastated. He refuses help and refuses to acknowledge her. She doesn’t know how to help and is so concerned for him. She has joined RCIA and is trying to trust in God and have hope. Worry is weighing heavy on her heart. St Therese and Holy Family please bring her peace. Bless her by Sending an Angel to guide her in ways she can get help for her Father.

Please pray for family healing. Our family needs peace and unity. There are four siblings in my family. Our father died in 2004 and our mother died in 2020. We are still grieving our mother’s death and are As siblings, trying to figure out how to be a family without parents as our center. It is up to us to continue the legacy of love that our parents taught us. However, my brother got mad at me and one other sister last June when he wasn’t included on a sister beach trip. He has cut himself off from us and refuses to speak with us. We have tried to reach out to him, but he is still mad and hurt. I pray that God will bring peace to our family.
