This novena will give us an opportunity to re-order our lives, our hearts and our minds to our Lord.
It’s kind of like a novena for new (Liturgical) year’s resolutions!
It’s the Christ the King Novena!
The feast of Christ the King is movable, and is celebrated on the last Sunday of the Liturgical year. This feast day was instituted by Pope Pius XI in 1925 within his encyclical letter, Quas Primas.
St. John Paul II spoke about this feast, and the title of Christ the King, in a homily from 2000. Here’s a little bit of what he said:
“You are King! But your kingdom is not of this world… Yours is a “kingdom of truth and life, a kingdom of holiness and grace, a kingdom of justice, love and peace,” which will be revealed in its fullness at the end of time, when God will be all in all. The Church, which can already taste on earth the first fruits of this future fulfillment, never ceases to repeat: “Adveniat regnum tuum”, “Thy kingdom come.”
During this novena, we will pray that we may all allow Christ the King to truly be our king: to reign in our hearts, our minds, our wills, and our lives.

Jesus are Lord I am asking for a miracle fir our family. We have been trying to conceive our second child and have had some difficulty but are standing believing trusting Gods promises for our babies twins. Recently we have been dealing with a lot of attacks from the enemy. Most recently 2 weeks ago I had emergency gallbladder and bile duct obstruction surgery. Since then I have been praying consistently with family and friends but developing post surgery complications which I know are attacks of the enemy. I still have one more procedure next week. Please pray for me that Jesus heal all of my body do we can go on to heal and conceive our babies. Please pray that the Lord grant us our miracle breakthrough and hearts desire our babies twins soon. Abba Father I pray for the assailant who accosted my husband may he repent. For the Guards and community that are harassing my family and I may they repent. I pray for my family healing and being able to forgive. I pray for reconciliation and our Lords victory and peace to restore. Amen
My prayer intention is that my husband is led to a job where he can use his skills, talents, and abilities; a job suited for our needs.
Please pray with us for Walt, a friend of ours. He’s having a catheterization this Tuesday morning- 35 % ejection fraction of LF ventricle. He sent me a message of how scared he is to not make it. He also has little lung function. Gratefully he just called back so we could give more encouragement and let him know prayer warriors have him
