We’re excited to announce that the next novena we’re praying is the original novena!
Novenas are an ancient tradition that goes back to the days of the Apostles.
Jesus told His disciples to pray together after His ascension into heaven, so they went to an upper room along with the Blessed Virgin Mary, (Acts 1:14) and joined constantly in prayer for nine days.
These nine days of constant prayer by the Apostles at the direction of Jesus led up to Pentecost. This is when the Holy Spirit descended upon the disciples as “tongues of fire” (Acts 2:1-4). This pattern of 9 days of prayer is the basis of the novenas we pray today!
Thus, the novena is an imitation of the Lord’s command to the Apostles when they prayed for 9 days in anticipation of the coming of the Holy Spirit.
And that’s why we pray all of our novenas for nine days, followed by one final prayer on the 10th day (which is usually the feast day).
So maybe you can guess by now that the next novena we’re praying is The Novena to the Holy Spirit for Pentecost!
The Holy Spirit plays a BIG part in our lives.
So, as we pray, ask the Holy Spirit for something concrete and measurable.

Our granddaughter Emma has a brain disorder and is subject to seizures. I pray for a long, happy and productive life for her.
Dear Holy Spirit! I beg you to motivate my daughter Sandra to practi ce physical exercise in order to be healthy, and for her to learn how to handle her load of work. she has a job but she works on something else, getting a lot of stress.

For the 1st time I’m doing this novena for myself. I suffer from SAD. My husband was DX’d w/ moderate Alzheimers in 2018. Without saying 2020 was challenging. My hubby is homebound & the only way he could get COVID is thru me so I’ve been very cautious. I’ve kept myself isolated. Now I’m depressed. I pray this novena asking to be blessed with each day’s topic, i.e. charity, joy, etc. I want to be a joyful evangelist of God’s love. I need a rejuvenation of the closeness of God that I took for granted two years ago and struggle for this feeling of comfort to return.

O Holy Spirit, too many of us lack self- control and unleash our emotions on all of Creation. Give us this gift so that the fruits of the Spirit may abound throughout the world in every human heart. May our children be taught and receive this powerful gift. I ask in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Just as you recently breathed new life inside of my body, for me to grow, for us to take care of and to return to you one day, I ask you to breathe new life into my marriage, my home, my family so that we may grow and nurture each other with You as our center and foundation. Help me, not to repair, but to make my marriage anew as a way to root our family in faith and under your guidance. Rooted in your goodness is the only way we can fight the evilness that prowls around us and we need You more than ever, please hear my call.
Should this marriage either not be your will or not the outcome due to lack of genuine desire from both L and I, then I ask for peace and strength to build the same home for our children as a single mother. I pray that I am enough to keep my children under your roof until you call them home. I am not asking not to struggle, only to have peace as I face those struggles. The Holy Spirit, please give MRS no narcissism, dominating in this marriage and patch work family. Please let us enjoy mercies in this marriage and this family that seems never happens in this family before. Please help us to have a mediator who is a good Catholic, a really good one protecting me and helping MRS to recognize his sides of narcissism, bad habits and other negative points to marriage and successfully converting MRS to a good husband in a traditional family where we love each other and to the children, protect each other and to the children and loving God. Please help MRS on the way back to church and to be afraid of God. Please arrange AH another place to ride and such people never appears in our life, our farm or in whatever form that affects such negatively to our marriage.
That the Holy Spirit of YAHWEH, will in His mercies, frightfully bless my marriage and my siblings, in Jesus Christ’s name.

I pray for myself that I may be a model for my children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. May I find my own way in this strange thing called, retirement. I pray that I will find peace, joy, fulfillment and a way to help others as has been my lifes work. I miss teaching very much and I miss my associates at work, I also miss the eyes of the beautiful children I helped to understand many things that were a struggle. Please help me Holy Spirit, I believe in you and keep my faith ever present and growing.

Please join me in my prayers for my daughter and husband to return to the faith. They are struggling with the believe that there is no God and no life after death. How did this happened?? My daughter was raised in a strong Catholic and loving home. Please, Holy Spirit fill their hearts and souls with that loving fire for the truth.
Please pray that J.T. is able to:
1. Successfully negotiate an economic settlement with the CC government before the end of the year.
2. Receive justice by having those people who committed crimes against him and who were involved in the illegal eviction he endured be criminally charged and sentenced to prison before the end of the year.
3. Receives fair and adequate compensation from the jewelry store who stole his property.
4. Receives fair and adequate compensation from the company whose driver struck him while he was walking on the sidewalk.

Fir my husband and our marriage – that Jesus Christ be the heart of our home. That he will have an authentic encounter with Jesus and, thereby, grow I holiness…..in hopes that he will be a spiritual role model and leader for our children.

O Holy Spirit, please hear my prayer. I ask that you fill my daughter’s hearts with Your love and gentleness. May they treat their children with greater respect and Your gentleness.
May all peoples of the world bestow Your gentleness to others especially children the elderly, and animals. I ask through Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Father, I know you know the pressure is on my shoulders to maintain my business and the finances. Tring to upgrade the building hoping to get more customers.
