We wanted to let you know about the next novena — it’s one of our favorites (you can scroll down to read why), and we’ll start praying it just a few days after we finish the current Novena to St. Monica.
The next novena is The Novena for Marriage and Family!
St. John Paul II said, “As the family goes, so goes the nation and so goes the whole world in which we live,” so it’s really important that we pray for marriages and families to be strengthened and sanctified.
We will pray for those who are already married, for those who want to be married, for families going through difficult times, and for those in financial distress.
There’s something extra special about this novena… It leads up to the Feast of Mary’s Birthday (the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary)!
The first time we prayed this novena together as a community was nine years ago, leading up to our wedding day! It has been such a gift to pray with you :)
And it is so important that we have strong marriages and strong families. So, we are really looking forward to praying this novena once again, for all Marriages and for Families!

Thanking God for his mercies and faithfulness throughout my years in the university and praying for Success to me, my friends and course mates in our final university exams and also that my mum’s gratuity be paid to her.
Please pray for all people who were affected in any way by Hurricane Ida. Please pray that those families who were displaced from their homes that they are able to finding housing while their homes are being repaired. I recently loss my son to a horrific auto accident. Please pray for all my family and myself as we grieve this shocking loss. My son was only 39 yrs old who left behind a son of 20 yrs old who 2 yrs ago was walking and struck by a vehicle that left him with Severe traumatic brain injury. My son and I were his primary care givers. I ask for unity in my family as the devil has taken hold of my oldest son and decided him from us temporarily because I am trusting in the power of the Lord and asking him to make right what he has done and bring back my prodigal son uniting us and bonding us tightly in the love of Jesus with the help of Our Blessed Mamma Mary and St. Joseph as we call upon the Holy Family. I pray my ex-husband pays the two loans I co-signed for him. He spent the $13K and now won’t pay the loans. I am unable to pay the loans.
I pray my ex-husband pays the property taxes on the home we co-own. There is a certificate of sale on the property due to lack of payment on the property taxes. I cannot pay them. He is supposed to pay them.
I pray to rise out of poverty.
I pray for a financial miracle, financial prosperity and a release of my financial debts.
I pray to earn A’s in all of my classes, pass the registry on the first attempt, receive a scholarship, graduate and get a good job so I can rise out of poverty.
I pray for healing of my daughter from chronic daily debilitating pain, severe depression, severe anxiety, kidney disease, anger, CSF leak, autism, and lack of patience with her brother.
I pray for healing of my son from self-hatred, suicidal thoughts, autism, video game addiction, lack of motivation, severe depression, severe anxiety, anger, and obesity.
I pray for physical, emotional, and psychological healing.

Today I am praying for all families to be safe from this awful pandemic. Please heal all of my friends and family members suffering from Covid and other illnesses. Especially, my cousin Joey. Please heal his cancer!
I am also praying for my daughter in law, that she continues to have a healthy pregnancy. Please watch over and protect my parents , husband, children, grandchildren, and siblings and their families.

I have an interview today at 5:45pm. This interview is with the same company I already work for. It would be a promotion and straight days, not shift work. I am unable to attend mass every Sunday because of my current schedule. If I get this new position I would be able to attend mass every Sunday. I pray for this promotion to help with bringing peace into my life.

I pray for peace in our family
These novenas have been a blessing to me. At times, when I feel as though I’m alone and don’t know where else to turn I see one starting in my email. I ask for prayers for my husband who has suffered with depression since he was a child. He has tried all treatments and they continue to fail. He is hanging on by a thread and has told me he doesn’t understand why God can’t answer his prayers for healing or relief. I ask for you to pray that his faith remains strong, that if it is in God’s will that he is healed from this dark place, and that he gets some hope back. Please also pray for me as I feel overwhelmed and scared. Thank you!
I have a baby less than one year old. The fight between me and my husband increases day by day whenever my husband speaks for my in-laws. My marriage is a love marriage and my parents felt ashamed in my front of my in-laws during many situation at the time of marriage as they took the advantage of being groom’s side. I feel very bad and sorry that my parents had to go through these because of me. My relatives got scoldings from my father in-law during the ceremony. My husband didn’t speak for my side as he will never speak against his parents even if they are wrong. Please pray that I need to forget all these incidents and should lead a peaceful life with my husband now. Every now and then I remember the past and get into a fight with my husband.
Recently my son fell sick and since my in-laws were one of the reason, for the first time after my marriage, he scolded his parents for our son. Then came a big fight as my sister in law interfered and again it led to a fight between us where my husband wanted to leave me and live with his parents. Please pray both me and my husband should understand each other always stand by each other no matter what the situation is. We shouldn’t have any fight because of our in-laws.
During my pregnancy and now ,I have heard many times my husband saying that he will leave me or divorce me. Please pray that I should never hear such words from my husband at any situation.
Please God,teach a lesson to everyone who thinks that there should be quarrels between me and my husband and shouldn’t live a peaceful life.
Please pray that any of the quarrels which happened in the past shouldn’t affect our baby mental or physical health.

I am struggling so mightily. My 24 anniversary was yesterday and my husband has been gone and actively fighting for a divorce for years. We have 4 children. I haven’t been as faithful to this novena because I am scared that my prayers won’t be answered. I know it doesn’t make sense. It means so much. . I have caught up at the end though.
