We wanted to let you know about the next novena — it’s one of our favorites (you can scroll down to read why), and we’ll start praying it just a few days after we finish the current Novena to St. Monica.
The next novena is The Novena for Marriage and Family!
St. John Paul II said, “As the family goes, so goes the nation and so goes the whole world in which we live,” so it’s really important that we pray for marriages and families to be strengthened and sanctified.
We will pray for those who are already married, for those who want to be married, for families going through difficult times, and for those in financial distress.
There’s something extra special about this novena… It leads up to the Feast of Mary’s Birthday (the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary)!
The first time we prayed this novena together as a community was nine years ago, leading up to our wedding day! It has been such a gift to pray with you :)
And it is so important that we have strong marriages and strong families. So, we are really looking forward to praying this novena once again, for all Marriages and for Families!

My marriage is in crisis and separation is a strong possibility. My husband is struggling with alcoholism and drug addiction. He has not been there for our teenage son. My husband has shown signs of recovery but then there are bad days. He won’t enter a recovery program because he thinks he can do it on his own. But this environment is very harmful to our son and we can’t go on like this. Please pray for his recovery and preservation of our family. I am feeling very lonely in this.

Lord hear my prayer I pray that I don’t get up in the middle of the night anymore because then I gain weight. I did better last night but I don’t want to do it at all anymore because I don’t like it. I also pray that Dr. Heroes does something about my tiredness because I don’t like being tired all the time and I pray that she gets my MRI sooner because I want to get it out of the way. I also pray that after that I can work for Randstad again a 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. job not a 6-2:30 because that is too early for me a 7-2:30 or 7 to 3:30 but not past 3:30 p.m. Please answer those prayers because I need them answered.

I wish to ask prayers of Our Lady for a neighbor in my apt. complex who moved in about six months ago. He has diabetes, and his health has been slowly deteriorating. The Thurgauer Migration office will soon receive our documents and will not require any more additional documents from us in whatever form and issue us quickly and smoothly good residence permit category C in CH for me, Paul and Maria so we can settle down our life here. Make it successfully for us.
For Paul to pass all upcoming exams Chemicals, English, French, German, Maths, Geography excellently. All the helper teachers help him to the point, correctly and punctual before each exams. To pass all other exams in KSR and graduating successfully.

My request is to reconcile with my boyfriend the father of my son, we are not staying together due to the effects of the Covid 19 pandemic, that made each of us begin staying on their own since we were jobless, etc. But I later on discovered that the father of my son lost love for me, he has even never seen his son, we rarely communicate, he claims he is broke and at the same time very busy for my calls. I love him and need him, therefore I need him to fall in love and love me, the way he used to and also to miss me and his son, so that he comes back to me and we nurture and raise our son together, under one roof, proposes to me for marriage and also give our son another sibling and be a one happy family of Father, Mother and our two children.
Please pray for me, pray with me, so that the Man I call the love of my life, comes back to love me, cherish me, respect me, be faithful to me, need me, treasure me and adore me, more than he even used to do. Amen.

Please pray for my sister and brother-in-law. She is waiting for lifesaving surgery and they‘ve been through a hellish two years. He confided in someone he’s thinking of leaving once she’s recovered, and ripping the floor out from under her and their two young children. She has some undiagnosed mental issues that worsen the situation, and covid has made everything hell. Please pray he’ll be honest and honourable about his intentions and he’ll reconsider the sanctity of marriage and their family. Please pray for their joint reconciliation and a peace and the strength to communicate openly and honestly. Together.

Continued prayers for my brother-in-law, Mark G. He is recovering from open-heart surgery. Early complications have required Devine intervention and we a grateful to God and thankful for all the prayers. He is off the respirator and soon the feeding tubes et-al.
