Dear Lord,
I pray for my son’s conversion and for him to come back to the church, just as St. Monica did for her son. I pray for his continued protection always, especially since he isn’t making very wise decisions in his 22 years of age. I pray that he stops putting himself in harm’s way by drinking and smoking, and vaping as well. I pray that he learns to love himself enough to take better care of himself. I pray that he sharpens up and wakes up in time to develop self-esteem and life skills to become the great man and leader that God intended him to be. Right now he’s a follower, following other lost sheep. I pray for strength for my husband and I to allow him to step away and fly his wings, and just put all of our trust in our Lord that HE will take care of our son from here on, but still provide us the wisdom to discern when to intercede in any way we humanly can. Prayer request. I pray for my family and personal relationships. My parents have died in 2006-2007 and my family has turned their backs on me since I confronted two brothers last year who sexually assaulted and molested me as a child. Since then I have suffered with ovarian cancer, which I hoped was cured after surgery but recent PET scan shows some undeclared spots on my rectum and colon and a malignant lesion on my esophagus for which I now have to have radiation September 5 at 2 o’clock and every day for 28 treatments and Chemo followed by surgery. Please pray for me and ask Our Lady Queen of Peace to give me strength and ask her son to take away all the cancer if God’s will. I have twin sons, David and Anthony, who are making Confirmation October 15. Please pray for their spiritual gifts from the Holy Spirit. I am a single Mom and they need me. Thanks
