The next novena we’re praying is the original novena! It’s the Holy Spirit Novena for Pentecost!
Novenas are an ancient tradition that goes back to the days of the Apostles. Jesus told His disciples to pray together after His ascension into heaven, so they went to an upper room along with the Blessed Mother (Acts 1:14) and joined constantly in prayer for nine days.
These nine days of constant prayer by the Apostles at the direction of Jesus led up to Pentecost. This is when the Holy Spirit descended upon the disciples as “tongues of fire” (Acts 2:1-4). This pattern of 9 days of prayer, leading up to a feast day or final day, is the basis of the novenas we pray today!
And that’s why we pray all of our novenas for nine days, followed by one final prayer on the 10th day (which is usually the feast day).

We getting evicted, the landlord wants us out in 7 day, I don’t know what we going to do, my family and I are very worried, we don’t have a deposit for a new place to leave, my partner hasn’t been getting work for weeks now, his self employed. It is said that Christians have a joy that others don’t have. A joy that is is attractive to others. A joy that transcends all things because of Christ. A joy that can define us in Christ. Apparently Christians have a joy. I don’t for some reason but I need it greatly. I desire this deep joy that other Christians have.

-We are looking for a place to settle in especially with my mom that is disabled which she is currently has a stroke.
-pray for mom for her to walk again and gain back her strength from her stroke, as well as staying healthy and not having anymore asthma. For God’s loving healing.
-pray for us to be financially stable which is don’t know what to do.

Holy Spirit please hear & answer my prayer that my daughter Sandy is facing retrenchment at work, she then decided to apply for other positions in their company, I am going down my knees praying to GOD for a blessing either she must not be retrenched or she must get one of the positions that she has applied for🙏
I’m also praying for my grandson who has applied for an internship in one of the Departments and has now written the internship assessment test of which he has passed, now he’s due to write the 2nd one & he’s stressing so much because this is the one that would decide if he’s through to join the organisation as the intern, it’s a very tough process, but I am trusting & having faith in the Lord that my prayers will be answered 🙏
