  21. The Christ the King Novena has been very comforting to me as I have presented my lack of faithful perseverance lately pertaining to some struggle sustaining work for our business. While in the twilight of my career, these final years will help secure our retirement funds. The stress and doubt that seems to rob my drive to press on and not give up has been a dark cloud for several months and as the year comes to its end there has been the fear that maybe our pursuits will not yield what we had hoped for.

In the past couple of days, I have felt a peace that has been absent for a good while. There have been some signs on recovery that have positive projections for 2-3 yrs out. Most importantly is the peace that comes from a renewed focus to surrender to Christ the King and to know that He will take care of everything.

During the 2 months, I did not take any new medication to reduce it, I only prayed so I know prayer is powerful.

  69. There was a slight crack in the barrier. My daughter declared to me before that she doesn’t believe in God. She asked that I stop sending her religious messages. She wasn’t hateful and we have a strong relationship. She was raised Catholic and received all her sacraments as a child. Needless to say this grieves my heart beyond words. But yesterday I had her children with me (my precious grandson and granddaughter) and we went on a golf cart ride to the recycling center. As they were throwing items into the bids they came across old issues of the Magnificat. Immediately my granddaughter said oh Nana is this Jesus? She’s 6 and my grandson is 4. I said yes sweetheart isn’t that a beautiful picture? She said yes can I keep this book. I said of course you can. Then my grandson said can I have one of Jesus too? When we returned home and they excitedly show their mom she said “Mama…” I said they asked for them. So I felt this was a great sign that some day she will change her heart. Thank you for the Novenas.

Dad came through the surgery well and is feeling better than he has in a while. Thank you Jesus!

  72. Good morning. This is the conclusion of my 9 day Novena with a final prayer blessing tomorrow.
I always derive so much fro these intermittent Novenas.
It’s what really keeps me going as I experience so many “down” days even though I know my Faith is stronger now. But there are so many distractions I allow to take precedent over my thoughts and my life, it’s disappointing and hurtful.
I prayed during this nine days that I can put the thoughts of my relationship with Michelle and the experiences of her family out of my present and future life. I believe after tomorrow’s final prayer that would be achieved.
My life of Praises and Happiness can forever be rekindled and shared among the people who really love me, who I really love and who I want to share the rest of my life with in the most harmonious way.

    Amen Jesus
